Principal's Message
Dear Parents, Students, and Chipperfield Community,
It is with great pride that we welcome you to Chipperfield Elementary School! Chipperfield Elementary serves students in grades Kindergarten through Fourth Grade. Together the teachers, staff, and administration work hard to continue the tradition of excellence at Chipperfield by building strong relationships with parents, students, and the community. Focus is placed on utilizing our Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to provide all students with instruction that is data-driven and differentiated to meet all students' needs behaviorally, emotionally, and academically.
A team approach is necessary to create and maintain a desired learning environment for our students. Partnering with our families is one of our keys to success. This partnership is valued so that we can assist your child in reaching their fullest potential. Families are also invited to become involved in our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTA). This is a wonderful way to support your child, our faculty and staff, and the school community.

About Me
Nicole Romano - Principal
Mrs. Romano began as Principal of Chipperfield Elementary School in December of 2023. Prior to being Principal of Chipperfield, Mrs. Romano was an Assistant Principal with SASD for 8 years, Principal of a small private school for 4 years and an elementary teacher for 6 years.
After receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from The College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, New Jersey, Mrs. Romano went on to pursue a Master's Degree from The University of Scranton in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Romano grew up in New Jersey, but has resided in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania since 2004.
Besides serving the wonderful students, staff, and community of Chipperfield Elementary School, Mrs. Romano enjoys spending time with her husband, two dogs, two cats, and 17 chickens.

About Me
Christopher Coleman - assistant principal
Mr. Coleman is the Assistant Principal at Chipperfield, he started here in 2020 and has enjoyed every teachable moment with our students and staff. Mr. Coleman loves being able to watch our student grow year after year to become well-rounded community members; being able to help our students academically and socially has been extremely rewarding for him.
His teaching career began in 2008 in the Scranton City School District, he taught Middle School PE/Health until 2019. Mr. Coleman obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education at East Stroudsburg University and completed his Master's Degree in Educational Administration through The University of Scranton.
Mr. Coleman grew up and resides in Scranton, PA. He loves spending time outdoors and rooting for his favorite Pennsylvania sports teams.
