English as a Second Language (ESL)

The English as a Second Language (ESL) program serves students whose first language is not English; we currently serve students with 20-plus languages. The school district must provide our English Language learners (ELL’s) with a planned program to facilitate the acquisition of English language skills and provide instructional program appropriate to the student’s developmental and instructional level. The ESL program provides the bridge to the general education standards expected of all students.
